Town of Oulu Caucus January 18, 2023 ~ 6:30 p.m. – 6:44 p.m. Oulu Town Hall

The January 18, 2023 Town of Oulu Caucus was called to order at 6:30 p.m. at the town by Jonathan Hamilton, Chairperson.

Residents present: Margie Lahti, Donald Lahti, Jon Hamilton, Mike Davidson, Duane Reijo, Kristin Grant, Fred Strand, Raelene Mattson, Adam Mattson, Tim Ciembronowicz, Darienne McNamara, Karen Johnson, Jonathan Nelson, Bonnie Nelson, Dale Nelson, Sr., Ed Burhans, Diana Reijo.

Posting of the caucus: Caucus notices were posted at the Oulu Town Hall and town website on January 5, 2023 and published in the Daily Press on January 6, 2023. Motion by Tim Ciembronowicz, second by Margie Lahti to nominate Darienne McNamara as chairperson of the caucus. Motion by Duane Reijo, second by Margie Lahti to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Darienne McNamara as chairperson. Motion carried.

Chair McNamara explained caucus procedures: Tellers: Fred Strand and Duane Reijo volunteered to be tellers. In case of a tie: The method by which a tie is broken will be by conducting another vote.

Nominations for Chairman: Tim Ciembronowicz nominated by Kristin Grant, seconded by Ed Burhans. Jon Hamilton nominated by Margie Lahti, seconded by Duane Reijo Tim Ciembronowicz and Jon Hamilton were certified by caucus chairperson to clerk.

Nominations for Supervisors: Adam Mattson nominated by Fred Strand, seconded by Duane Reijo. Jon Hamilton nominated by Tim Ciembronowicz. Jon Hamilton declined the nomination. Ed Burhans nominated by Tim Ciembronowicz, seconded by Mike Davidson. Adam Mattson and Ed Burhans were certified by caucus chairperson to clerk.

Nominations for Clerk: Diana Reijo nominated by Margie Lahti, seconded by Tim Ciembronowicz. Diana Reijo was certified by caucus chairperson to clerk.

Nominations for Treasurer: Margie Lahti nominated by Fred Strand, seconded by Jon Hamilton. Margie Lahti certified by caucus chairman to clerk. Motion by Ed Burhans to adjourn, second by Tim Ciembronowicz.
