26 10 14 Regular Board Meeting Minutes
The October 14, 2026 Town of Oulu regular board meeting was called to order by Jonathan Hamilton, Chairman at 6:45 pm at the Town Hall.
Roll Call
Members present: Jon Hamilton, Adam Mattson, Duane Reijo, Diana Reijo (Clerk), and Marla Lahti, (Treasurer). Town employees – Michael Davidson and Jeremy Gordon.
Approval of Agenda
Motion by Reijo, second by Mattson to approve the agenda as printed and posted. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
Consent Agenda
Approve general fund vouchers 14294-14309, ACH 955-973
September 9, 2026 Regular Board Meeting
Motion by Reijo, second by Mattson to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
Treasurer’s Report
General $ 43,708.34 and Tax Account $ 34,621.58
Chairman’s Report
Park/Cemetery
Water and power have been turned off at the park.
Roads
A turn-a-round was built on Kaukamo Road
Shouldered Boulevard & Airport Roads, where needed
Crack sealed North Airport Road
Ditching on County Line Road in combination with the Town of Cloverland
Filled rock on wash out on Oulu Pioneer Road
Replaced and repaired snowmobile route signs
Completed road side brushing
Hauled scrap iron to Ashland
Painted new lines on the blacktop at the town hall
Patched blacktop on Boulevard Road
Preventative maintenance and service on equipment ongoing

Road mileage certification mailed to state

New Business
Weyandt Engineering - Tabled
SIMPLE IRA for Employee/s
Motion by Mattson, second by Reijo to approve a matching contribution to each eligible employee’s SIMPLE IRA equal to the employee’s salary reduction contribution up to a limit of 3% of the employee’s wage towards a SIMPLE IRA with Ascensus Trust for the 2027 year. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
