The January 11, 2023 Town of Oulu regular board meeting was called to order by Jonathan Hamilton, Chair at 6:45 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Roll Call: Members present: Jon Hamilton, Ed Burhans, Tim Ciembronowicz, Diana Reijo, clerk, and Marjorie Lahti, treasurer. Town employee: Mike Davidson
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Ciembronowicz, second by Burhans to approve the agenda as printed and posted. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
Consent Agenda:
Approve general fund vouchers 13746-13765 & 13823-13827, ACH 563-566, Tax Account 905-909
Minutes of the December 8, 2022 regular board meeting
Motion by Ciembronowicz, second by Burhans to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
Treasurer’s Report: – General – $175,704.51 Tax Account $128,200.98 ARPA $55,579.00
Community Groups: No community groups or individuals registered at this time.
New Business:
Ambulance & Fire Contracts
Motion by Burhans, second by Ciembronowicz to approve the 2023 ambulance ($10,800.21) and fire ($10,760) contracts with the Town of Iron River. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. (11 fire calls and 15 EMS calls last year).
Landfill Update:
A report was filed with Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department reporting the port-a-potty that was taken from the Solid Waste Transfer Site.
Playground Equipment: The Town Board reviewed equipment proposals for the park equipment. No action taken.
Snowplowing Policy: The Town Board reviewed and discussed the draft snowplowing policy. Tabled.
1st Quarter Planning: The Town Board will set up a planning and policy committee meeting to discuss and develop town policies and procedures, discuss highway needs and plans, spring planning for the park, and updates to the town hall and the Solid Waste Transfer Site.
Road Maintenance Report:
Keeping up with snowplowing and sanding roads
Blading back snowbanks

Caucus scheduled for January 18, 2023, at the town hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Planning & Policy Committee meeting scheduled for February 1, 2023, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Regular board meeting scheduled for February 8, 2023, at the town hall, beginning at 6:45 p.m. Bills will be reviewed at 6:30 p.m.
