23 05 10 Highway Committee Meeting Minutes

The May 10, 2023 Town of Oulu Highway Committee meeting convened at 12:30 p.m., Oulu Pioneer Road with Jon Hamilton, Adam Mattson, Mike Davidson, Trisha Evans and Shawn Haseleu of the DNR assessing the current road/culvert conditions by the Reefer Creek on Oulu Pioneer Road.

The May 10, 2023 Town of Oulu highway committee at 1:57 p.m. at the Oulu Town Hall.

Roll Call: Members present: Jon Hamilton, Adam Mattson, Margie Lahti, Diana Reijo, excused, and Ed Burhans, absent. Also present Trisha Evans, and Scott Weyandt via computer.

Working on 5-year plan for road repairs and maintenance. Trisha has developed a spreadsheet to use as a Planning Tool that lists roads and allow you to do a cost estimate of potential maintenance cost or repairs. Will include Pacer Ratings and allow us to establish prioritization of road maintenance needs.

Roads being prioritized at this time include County Line Road, Boulevard Road, Airport Road and Oulu Rock Road.

Discussed getting bids for County Line and boulevard to pulverize, ditch, shouldering and shaping. Also, culvert work on Erkkilla Road and repairs to Oulu Pioneer Road.

Present bid of County Line and Boulevard to be recommend at town board meeting.
