Installation of Culverts Bid Notice

The Town of Oulu is soliciting sealed bids for the installation of culverts at 5 crossing locations (6 culverts) on Airport Road between East View Road and County Trunk Highway (CTH) B within the Town of Oulu. Construction by a contractor will involve saw-cutting the asphalt, removing the existing culverts, installing new culverts, and backfilling with compacted Base Dense Aggregate 1 ¼-Inch up to level with the top of the culvert, installing 6-inch geocell mat, then filling with gravel up to the surface of the existing asphalt. Work by the contractor will not involve asphalt patching, nor traffic control except to allow local access if needed. A certificate of insurance is required.

The Town will close the road and provide any needed detour signage for the duration of construction.

All bids must be prepared on the form provided for that purpose and submitted in accordance to the Instructions to Bidder.

Mail sealed bids to Town of Oulu, Diana Reijo, Clerk, 71530 Hoover Line Road, Iron River, WI 54847, or you may hand deliver them to the clerk by 5pm, August 14, 2024, or deliver them to the board meeting. Bids will be opened at the regular board meeting held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, 6:45pm.

The Town of Oulu reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to accept bids most advantageous to the Town of Oulu.
