25 10 20 Joint Meeting with Oulu Town Board and Oulu Plan Commission Minutes

Jonathan Hamilton, Chair, called the joint meeting of the Oulu Town Board and Plan Commission to order on October 20, 2025, at 6:30 pm.

Roll Call

Members present: Town Board: Jon Hamilton, Adam Mattson, Duane Reijo, & Diana Reijo, clerk. Plan Commission: Fred Strand, Chair, Duane Lahti, Margie Lahti, Adam Mattson, Sandy Rantala, & Diana Reijo, Clerk.

Zoning Code Rewrite Project Fall 2025 Town Survey

The Town Board and Plan Commission members worked together on the Zoning Code Rewrite Town Survey. In the comments section, add: include the current County’s Land Use permit road access question: ‘If applicable, did you contact the road authority to see if a driveway permit or regulations apply to placement of a driveway?’ The Oulu Town Board requests that this check off item be changed to: ‘If your project includes a new or changed access to a Town road, include a copy of the Town’s approval’.

Motion by Reijo, second by Mattson to approve the Zoning Code Rewrite Survey as prepared by the Oulu Town Board and Oulu Plan Commission and submit it to Bayfield County Planning and Zoning. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
